EXA Infrastructure announced EXA Meridian, a new transatlantic cable connecting New Jersey with Brean in the United Kingdom. The system is intended to add fibre-pair capacity and route diversity between North America and Europe as AI, cloud and distributed data-centre traffic continues to increase. For European infrastructure buyers, Meridian adds another future option to a corridor where diversity, landing geography and onward terrestrial reach are as important as raw transatlantic capacity.

Why this matters
Digital infrastructure projects rarely operate in isolation. Their commercial value depends on the surrounding terrestrial network, data-centre ecosystem, cloud adjacency, route diversity, power availability, regulation and the ability to connect onward to customer destinations. CloudINX Intelligence therefore treats the project as one part of a wider infrastructure graph rather than as a standalone announcement.
