Telxius has built a carrier-neutral landing gateway and edge data-centre facility in Cancún. The site is positioned as the Mexican landing point for the Tikal subsea system and as a regional hub connecting Caribbean, US and Latin American infrastructure. The combination of landing, terrestrial backhaul and edge compute is commercially important because it creates a single point from which operators, cloud platforms and enterprises can evaluate regional capacity, resilience and latency-sensitive workloads.

Why this matters
Digital infrastructure projects rarely operate in isolation. Their commercial value depends on the surrounding terrestrial network, data-centre ecosystem, cloud adjacency, route diversity, power availability, regulation and the ability to connect onward to customer destinations. CloudINX Intelligence therefore treats the project as one part of a wider infrastructure graph rather than as a standalone announcement.
